Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 2026 · Effective for all MeowMD users worldwide
This Privacy Policy explains how AL WASI LLC ("we," "us," "our"), operating the MeowMD service ("MeowMD," the "Service") — MeowMD is a DBA of AL WASI LLC — collects, uses, shares and protects your information. It applies to our website and the MeowMD application. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
Our core promise: We do not sell your personal data. Ever. We collect only what we need to help you care for your cat, and we give you clear control over it.
1. Information We Collect
Account information
When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and authentication details. If you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor collects billing information (see "Payments" below) — we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
Cat health inputs
To provide health checks, care plans and reminders, we collect the information you enter about your cat(s): age, breed, weight, symptoms, behavior, diet, medications, and health history. This is the heart of the Service.
Photos
If you use the Photo Check or Food Scanner features, we process the images you upload to generate results. You control which photos you share.
Usage and device data
We collect standard technical data — device type, app version, IP address, and interaction logs — to keep the Service secure, reliable and improving.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To generate AI health checks, Cat Health Scores, care plans and food-scan results.
- To send reminders, Cat-Chat™ messages and account communications.
- To operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the Service.
- To process subscriptions and prevent fraud.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We use your cat health inputs to power your experience and to improve our models in aggregated or de-identified form. We do not use your identifiable personal data for third-party advertising.
3. How We Share Information
We share personal data only with service providers who help us run MeowMD — such as cloud hosting, payment processing (Stripe) and analytics — under contracts that require them to protect your data and use it only for the services they provide to us. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users and the Service. In the event of a merger or acquisition, data may transfer as a business asset, subject to this Policy.
We never sell your personal data and we do not share your identifiable cat health information for advertising purposes.
4. Data Retention
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records to comply with legal, tax or security obligations.
5. Your Rights (GDPR — European Union & EEA)
If you are in the EU or EEA, under the General Data Protection Regulation you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@meowai.health.
6. Your Rights (CCPA/CPRA — California)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) gives you the right to know what personal information we collect, to access and delete it, to correct inaccuracies, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. To make a request, contact support@meowai.health.
7. Your Rights (India — DPDP Act 2023)
If you are in India, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 provides you the right to access a summary of your personal data and processing, the right to correction and erasure, the right to grievance redressal, and the right to nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity. We process your personal data based on your consent or for legitimate uses permitted under the Act. To exercise these rights or raise a grievance, contact our grievance point of contact at support@meowai.health.
8. Cookies & Similar Technologies
Our website uses essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to remember preferences such as your light/dark theme choice. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may affect functionality.
9. Children's Privacy
MeowMD is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age required by applicable law. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Data Security
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work continuously to safeguard your information.
11. International Transfers
We may process and store data in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers consistent with applicable law.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you.
